Charlie Belle is a 2-piece alterna-pop band from Austin Texas. Their debut EP Get To Know hit the industry with a bang. WIRED proclaimed that the duo was “armed with the most infectious kind of power-pop,” with Nylon adding that “their master of their instruments and original catchy songwriting skills show that Charlie Belle’s maturity is most definitely not defined by their age.”

NPR Music foreshadowed that Charlie Belle would be one of the “musicians you’ll tell your friends about in 2015,” and after signing with NYC boutique label Fanatic Records, their second EP I Don’t Want To Be Alone had Billboard noting that “Jendayi’s velvety vocals sound quite comfy in the headphones.”

A lot has happened since those releases yet Charlie Belle still “makes melodic indie-pop feel like a viable option for the first time in eons,” as The Guardian has proclaimed.

Since leaving their label, Charlie Belle has recorded two 5-song EPs close to home with Matt Noveskey of Blue October producing. These songs call to mind Rilo Kiley, The Cranberries, and songstress Kate Nash. What started out as an LP was divided up into pair of EPs, which focuses on stories of change, maturity, loss, and moving on. Like I Love This is due Sept. 25 (you can pre-order it now), and Looking For Magic is due spring 2019.

AfroPunk has said that Charlie Belle is “definitely a band you’ll want to know.”

We think you’ll agree.
