Caracal” is a skeletal, bottom-heavy cut, deftly constructed to embody that 4am haze where a night out slowly blurs into morning. With vocals that hark to London Grammar and their ilk, the track leans heavily on the influences of underground dance music in its production: an oscillating sub-bass backdrop and snappy, sometimes jarring percussion. It’s a sparkling, streamlined effort built of several very different layers, precisely engineered to give texture and intrigue without unnecessary bulk. “Caracal” was edited by Oliver Rivard @jakeandoliverco.

Rare DM (fka Errmine) is a dark designer of electronic sound. Rare DM explores shadowed dissonance, foiled by the neon and black light glow of underground dance music. The brainchild of Brooklyn-based Erin Hoagg, Rare DM earned attention from NYLON mag with her first single – Driver’s Seat (then still under the moniker Errmine) for being “pristine, cohesive, and altogether otherworldly.” Rare DM’s debut album is set to release April 12, 2019.
