Products Band returns with songwriting so catchy you might forget you’re haunted. “Winner” shines as it showcases the Minneapolis outfit’s blend of interwoven guitar runs, subtle rhythmic turns, and cheerfully sinister vocals. Notice, too, Deerhoof’s John Dieterich’s return as producer.
Bio:
Minneapolis indie band Products Band was Inspired by bands like Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, Pavement, Built To Spill, The Replacements and R.E.M.. Products Band has been building up steam across the midwest since Jo, Alex, Konner and Jack started playing together in 2017.
In true DIY fashion, they self-released both their 2018 EP On the Dotted Line and 2021’s full-length Pink Puma as cassette-only releases. Throughout the pandemic, they continued to write new music, refine their sound, and when the time was right, they resumed playing shows—lots of shows! They shared the stage with bands like Gang of Four, Stuck, Dehd, Water From Your Eyes, Deerhoof, and Palm.
In 2023, they released Some Sudden Weather on Solid Brass. 2024 saw them playing more shows, producing videos, and spending time in the studio with John Dieterich from Deerhoof behind the controls. They released several singles in 2024 and recently announced their first-ever tour out to the West Coast.
