‘For emily’ EP:
El Ten Eleven recorded the ‘For emily’ EP at several studios over the course of a year and a half. The EP’s title is a dedication to a friend who spent a lot of time being a part of the community at Atwater Deluxe Rehearsals (the rehearsal space in Los Angeles that Kristian owns) and sadly passed away last year. The e in ‘emily’ is purposely not capitalized, as that is how she wrote out her name. The lead track “Nova Scotia” is a dedication to Kristian’s best friend Matt. The second track “Yyes!” is a dedication to Ron Fleming and his team at the design company of the same name who have done the artwork for all of the band’s releases since day one. “Reprise” is simply a reprise of some of the parts from “Yyes!”
