Woods is creatively a perfect fit and they played a big part in the sound and direction of our last video release ORIGIN. The first trailer to ORIGIN was set to a Woods song as well as Austyn Gillette and Silas Baxter Neal’s closing songs.”
On June 14th, WOODS will release their 6th full-length album, Sun & Shade, on their own Woodsist record label. This Summer the band will embark on a North American tour co-headlining with The Fresh & Onlys. The tour will also include the two-day Woodsist Festival at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur, CA which is already sold out. Also joining the tour on different legs will be Kurt Vile, Ducktails and White Fence, who have all recorded for the Woodsist label.
Recorded Winter to Winter, 2010-2011, Sun & Shade features a helping hand from west coast brother, Glenn Donaldson (Skygreen Leopards, Art Museums) and is the first full album recorded at the new Woodsist Headquarters in the small upstate town of Warwick, NY.
