Introducing: Fanzine

By July 1, 2011No Comments

Today the London-based band Fanzine unleashed a self-released four track EP.
Each of the four tracks was also premiered simultaneously on four of the most influential UK blogs – Transparent, Abeano, Double Denim and The Line of Best Fit.

“‘I Wanna Touch Your Hand’ is a great buzz of a tune about the first throes of summer love (or creepily touching the object of your affection, you decide).” –
Abeano

(‘Rocket Fuel’) is a classic two minute pop song stripped back to its wonderfully simple, fragile core with soothing, unshakably intimate vocals laid over glimmering, floating guitar chimes.” -Transparent

“The fuzz-soaked guitar and pounding drums (of ‘Low’) feel crisp and burnt – like they could crumble apart at any moment. Instead they keep chugging with forward motion opening up beneath some typically smart lyrics about feeling low.” –
Double Denim

(‘Running Around’) – It’s brilliant, quite frankly.” – The Line of Best Fit
