One of the first live clips anyone saw of Dan Deacon was this performance on WSAV Savannah’s Coastal Sunrise morning news show. Tonight he makes his National network TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performing with an ensemble. They’ll be performing “True Thrush,” the lead single from Deacon’s 2012 album and Domino debut, America, which was released in August. Deacon is also currently on tour in support of the record and has already announced a European tour which launches in early 2013.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on ABC at 11:35pm EST / 10:35pm CST – set your DVRs now! The live studio audience will be using the recently launched Dan Deacon smartphone app which makes each person’s phone a part of the light show, making TV history as the first time an interactive, artist-created app is used with a live audience on network TV.
