VIDEO: Barbarossa -“The Load” –
[media][/media]Memphis Industries‘ new signing James Mathé aka Barbarossa, fresh off supporting POLICA on their European tour, has just released his new video for current single “The Load”.
Directed by British actress Montserrat Lombard, the video doffs its hat to US indie films such as Buffalo 55 and Paris Texas. Lombard says:
“James’ songs often refer to a battle between needing to be in nature and its purity and wanting to be in a city’s chaotic, manic energy. We wanted to bring an element of that into this promo by shooting some stuff in the woods and underwater and mixing it with layered, more psychedelic stuff. We looked at the extremities of love and how far you’d go to give someone everything”

Barbarossa are putting the finishing touches to the new album and will be supporting Junip on their upcoming North American tour. Dates will be announced soon.
