Cloud Boat release their first song, “Carmine,” taken from the highly anticipated follow-up album to their critically acclaimed debut Book Of Hours, released in 2013 on Apollo Records. Clash, This Is Fake DIY and The 405 hailed Book Of Hours as one of the best albums of the year.

Cloud Boat will announce the details of their second album soon, which will be released this Summer on Apollo Records.

“Carmine” was premiered today via Dummy and is available to download for free atwww.cloudboat.co.uk until March 24, when it will be available to buy via iTunes. “Carmine” is a delicate and inspiring song, delivered with profound simplicity. This stunning track from Cloud Boat’s Sam Ricketts and Tom Clarke marks a bold move forward from Book of Hours, pairing their trademark sound with a new confidence in song writing that places this London band as one of the most exciting and talented artists in the UK.

“Carmine” is a journey through the mind of a childhood companion. The image of him is so old and faded that we believe he may be a figment of our imagination, but he now exists more completely as a friend and as a memory in this song.” (Tom and Sam)
