VIDEO: “While Everyone Was Waiting” –

talk in tongues 1
Today LA band Talk in Tongues shares their new performance-based music video for “While Everyone Was Waiting” directed by Izaac Enciso — the band is currently wrapping up a run of dates opening for Blonde Redhead and then will be joining Veruca Salt for a trio of west coast shows in July.

Talk In Tongues released their debut LP, Alone With a Friend, on May 19, and LA Weekly just named it the 5th best LA album of the year so far, only topped by Kamasi Washington, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples and Nosaj Thing.

What the press is saying about Talk in Tongues:

“Meet Talk In Tongues, a four-piece from LA and your newest favorite psych-rock band. “Still Don’t Seem To Care,” (is) a glistening piece of psych-rock perfection that will get stuck in your head for the rest of the day.” -Noisey

“They’re a throwback, but they do it well, maybe as well as the shoegaze first wave.” -LA Weekly

“Drawing from everything from Pink Floyd to 90s Creation band sounds and a deep desire to create (in the words of guitarist and singer McCoy Kirgo) “big music, like something you’d hear at a fest like Glastonbury,” the result is just that.” -KCRW

“…cymbal crashes and swells of guitars echoing in a space the size of a New Mexico canyon…” -IMPOSE
