PEDLAR 76 is the recording name of Croatian singer-songwriter, musician and producer Saša Ljuboja. Today, he releases his new single “Try” via Northern Transmissions.
Following years of searching in vain for local collaborators, Ljuboja resolved to do everything himself and began to lay down demos. Encouraged by Saša’s initiative and music he was producing, longtime friend and Los Angeles producer David Jerkovich (Novi Split) flew to Croatia to record Pedlar 76’s debut single ”Try”. Ljuboja and Jekovich completed the production via Skype, adding drums from Peter Straub and Justin Pizzoferrato did the mixing. Ljuboja cites Sonic Youth and The Cure as musical heroes and the influance can be heard in his alt-rock sound, but the finished product is ultimately the self-taught Ljuboja’s own.
